Charitable Giving. Our 5 year goal is $5,000,000

Overflow Cafe cares about people. Both in our local community and people around the world. We've always been a giving company. As we continue to expand our company, we continue to expand our giving. The following is a list of causes we regularly give towards, and we plan on giving $5 Million over the next 5 years.

Water:  Much of the world doesn't have access to clean water, especially in third world countries. We give towards the digging of fresh water wells, irrigation systems, sanitation systems and any sustainable water solution. If you can give an entire village water, you can transform that entire village. They can plant crops, raise livestock and in turn help other villages.

Canadian and American homeless: There are an estimated 200,000 homeless people in Canada and 750,000 homeless people in America. At least 1/4 of them are children. We give towards organizations that provide food, supplies and sustainable solutions for homeless including affordable housing and continuing education.

Orphans: There are a lot of orphans in the world, and although we wish it wasn’t so, we are doing our part to fund the building, renovation and funding of orphanages around the world so that while children are there, they are well loved, well provided for and will have a chance at a great future.

After school programs: Statistics show that youth in America and Canada are most likely to try drugs or commit crimes between 3pm and 6pm, which is the window of time between after school and before their parents come home. We support after school programs that will provide tutoring, games, supervision and most importantly mentoring for high school aged children.

Anti-slave trade: Every year an estimated 500,000 young men and women (many of them just children) are kidnapped and forced into illegal trades. Most are drugged and taken advantage of hundreds of times and contract many medical problems. We give towards grass roots organizations that rescue these people and help to end this situation once and for all.

Emergency medical: For the cost of a few cups of coffee you can provide emergency medical treatment for a person in a third world country that will save their vision or prevent a life threatening illness. And for the price of a large 3 bedroom American family home you can provide a heart transplant for a young child. We participate in both kinds of projects and everything in between.

College Funds: This is a brand new program for us. We give college grants to students in the USA and Canada.

Single Parents: There are a lot of single moms and dads in this world. They need help for continuing education, daycare assistance and access to support groups.

Other: We believe in helping as much as we can, so the above is not a complete list. We are always giving more and improving the way we give and getting better results. Our employees are deeply involved in our giving decisions and we oftentimes ask our clients about what causes are important to them. We don’t just give money, we give our time and prayers. All Overflow employees are required to do volunteer work at least once per month for an organization of their choice.

27% Increase in Internet Ad Spending - June 9 2009

As consumers spend more time on the Internet, companies are redistributing advertising dollars from traditional media to online media to follow this trend. In its quarterly wrap-up report, IDC says total U.S. Internet ad spending in the fourth quarter of 2007 (4Q07) grew nearly 28% over the same quarter in 2006 to $7.3 billion. Overflow Cafe to Expand Network Again - April 24, 2009

Overflow, a website promotion agency in Toronto Canada is planning to expand it's advertising network again by purchasing or partnering with an additional 400 popular websites over the next 12 months. The expansion will help the company expand it's reach further and drastically improve the effectiveness of it's advertising network. A recent survey sent to Overflow Cafe clients reported that over 98% of Overflow's clients are happy with their service and will continue to recommend associates. Jeff Hall, an Overflow employee announced that although there are no official numbers available, he estimates that over 20% of their new clients have been referred to by current clients, and most clients who signed up in 1995 are still with Overflow today.

Overflow to launch free online Business School - August 29, 2008

Overflow, a website promotion agency in Toronto Canada is introducing a free online Business School that will help to educate and improve business skills of small and medium sized business owners. Jeff Hall from Overflow: "We will dedicate a section of our website towards educating business owners in all areas of business including strategic planning, start-ups, growth, human resources, finances, business law, business operations, sales, publicity, advertising, marketing and everything else you would learn in business school." Basically the website will contain articles, interviews, book recommendations and resources that business owners will be able to use to gain the same knowledge they would gain in business school, using a similar progressive learning structure. Overflow adopts environmental policy - July 23, 2008

Overflow, a website promotion agency in Toronto Canada has implemented an effective environmental policy. We have adopted new paperless transaction methods that have become increasingly popular in the business world to reduce our paper consumption by over 90%. To give you an idea of what this means - the company used 500+ sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper each business day, which has now been cut down to less than 25 sheets of paper per day. Also, we will be switching our office lights to LED lighting. This is a bonus for the environment and everyone in it. We hope that other businesses follow this example and adopt their own environmental policy.

Overflow expands its network with purchase of BOI Networks - June 12, 2008

Overflow, a website promotion agency in Toronto Canada has expanded it's operations by purchasing BOI Networks. With this acquisition we will be able to offer our customers even more for their money. We will be adding BIO Network's 500+ high ranking websites to our 2,500 websites that we can use for link building campaigns and give us a global presence in the website promotion marketplace. Our customers will benefit from increased promotion and our company will benefit with these new global assets.  We estimate the new addition will take 5-7 months.
